Helping at events, big and small
Volunteering with Schoolmix usually means helping out at an event, setting up beforehand, keeping things running smoothly on the day, or simply being an extra pair of hands and eyes to make sure every child has a good time. No experience is needed, just a willingness to pitch in.
We try to keep volunteering flexible. Some people help at every event we run, others come along once or twice a year when their schedule allows. Both are genuinely appreciated, and there's no pressure to commit to more than suits you.
It's also, honestly, a good way to meet other parents and teachers in a relaxed setting rather than a rushed hello at the school gate. A lot of our regular volunteers say that's what kept them coming back.
